    When are alerts sent?

Alerts and “Today” triggers are scanned intraday, so as of that moment in the middle of the day, conditions may be satisfied.

However, the backtester uses 15-minute before the close prices for all entries and exits. We send alerts early so people are prepared, but it's incumbent upon the trader to verify that at the end of the day, the triggers are still met if trying to mimic the backtest as closely as possible.

In terms of triggers, the mechanics of the TradeMachine® are that it uses end of day prices for every trigger. If the conditions of the alert are no longer met at the end of day, the open would not be considered “actionable” by TradeMachine®.
